the painting is an islamic style miniature depicting Mohammad ascending to heavens. I think it dates back to 15th or 16th Century.
i like the poetry at the start - and that's a nice drawing :)

and for those who think the verses underneath the picture are mine.. they are not. they're from an old musical tradition of Andalusian music and singing.
